Tim Burden BIOGRAPHY

Tim was born in 1979 into a large theatrical family. Growing up, one of his biggest influences was his multi-talented father. A writer, composer and artist himself, he built a large-scale marionette puppet show in the 60s, for which he created the stories, music and scenery. With his wife and a small backing band, he took the theatre on the road, performing puppet shows up and down the country for audiences that would include celebrities and Royals. They soon gave up their day jobs and made a living out of puppetry for many years. The uniqueness and imagination of what they achieved made a deep impression on Tim, who became interested in the arts from a young age.

After throwing himself into Art and Music at school, and dabbling in acting for a while, Tim got a place at the prestigious Wimbledon College of Arts. There, he pursued Fine Art, Photography and Sculpture. After that, he progressed on to the highly sought-after Interior Architecture & Design course at Nottingham Trent, where he continued to meet like-minded souls and hone his creative skills.

When Tim graduated in 2003, he was drawn into the fast-pace, colourful world of Events Production. For two years, he worked on the design of elaborate and interesting sets for high profile parties across EuropeTim was in his element working with scenic artists, set carpenters and entertainers.

The backdrop to Tim’s story has always been painting, and today he has an art studio nestled in the picturesque Cotswolds countryside, just outside Bath. His time is split between painting and interior design, as he also runs a luxury interiors company.
